AT LAST SOMEONE WORKS TOGETHER??????

IT APPEARS THAT THE PHONE CALLS OF SEVERAL CHEROKEE CITIZENS TO DISTRICT 4 COUNCILWOMEN MASON HAS WORKED. THE CITIZENS WERE DEMANDING ACTION ABOUT RISING WATER NEAR THEIR HOUSES CAUSED BY BAD STREET COVERTS. THE COVERTS WOULD NOT ALLOW WATER TO FLOW THUR AND CAUSED FLOOD WATER TO BACK UP AND COVER THE ROADWAY AND SURROUNDING PROPERTIES. THE CITIZENS HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING FOR A LONG TIME DATING BACK TO COUNCILMAN HOLIDAY AND NOTHING WAS EVERY DONE.

THE RESPONSE FROM MASON DID NOT IMPRESS SEVERAL CITIZENS. THEY REPORT THAT MASON STATED IT COULD TAKE A COUPLE OF COUNCIL MEETINGS TO COME UP WITH A SOLUTION.

SUNDAY EVENING COUNCILWOMEN MASON WAS AT MAYOR LANSDELL HOUSE. COMMON SENSE WOULD TELL A PERSON THAT THE MEETING HAD TO DO WITH THE WATER ISSUE. WITHIN 24 HOURS THE TWO DAMAGED STREET COVERTS WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED. THIS FAST ACTION COULD PREVENT A LAW SUIT FROM THE HOMEOWNERS.

WHEN BOTH SIDES DECIDE TO WORK TOGETHER ANYTHING CAN BE DONE. BIG THANKS TO MAYOR LANSDELL AND COUNCILWOMEN MASON WORK IMPROVING THE TOWN OF CHEROKEE. WILL THIS BE THE FIRST OF MANY NEW THINGS OR JUST A ONE TIME THING? THE MAYOR CAN NOT FIX PROBLEMS THAT HE HAS NOT BEEN TOLD ABOUT. THE COUNCIL CAN NOT TELL CITY EMPLOYEES WHAT TO DO. IT TAKES BOTH SIDES WORKING TOGETHER. ONCE AGAIN, GREAT JOB TO MAYOR LANSDELL AND COUNCILWOMEN MASON.

I HOPE ALL OF THE COUNCIL WILL LEARN FROM THIS. BOTH SIDES DO NOT HAVE TO AGREE ON EVERYTHING. WHEN BOTH SIDES ARE ALLOWED A CHANCE TO SPEAK ANYTHING CAN BE DONE.
WHEN CHUCK WAS MAYOR LAST TIME, HE AND THE COUNCIL DID NOT ALWAYS AGREE. IF THERE WAS SOMETHING EVERYONE COULD NOT AGREE ON THEY WOULD TABLE THE ISSUE AND GET MORE INPUT FROM THE PEOPLE AND EXPERTS. THEY WOULD THEN VOTE AFTER BEING EDUCATED FULLY ON THE ISSUE. BOTH SIDES MIGHT NOT AGREE BUT THEY RESPECTED THE OTHERS VOTE BECAUSE IT WAS DONE IN PUBLIC FOR EVERYONE COULD SEE HOW THEIR DECISION WAS MADE.

WHEN COUNCIL MEMBERS SHOW UP ALREADY WITH THEIR MIND MADE UP, THAT IS WHAT CAUSES ALL THE PROBLEMS. THE COUNCIL SHOULD LISTEN TO ALL SIDES OF AN ISSUE, THE PEOPLE, MAYOR, OTHER CITY COUNCILPERSONS, AND EXPERTS. THERE IS NO RUSH; IT DOES NOT MATTER IF IT TAKES A FEW COUNCIL MEETINGS TO PASS AN ISSUE. TAKE TIME TO EDUCATE YOURSELF AND THE PUBLIC. THIS NEVER HAPPENS AND THIS IS WHY THE PEOPLE ARE REBELLING. WORK TOGETHER EVERYONE AND STOP LISTENING TO YOUR PUPPET MASTER.

  2. I deleted my eailer post to correct misspellings.

I was personally at Mayor Lansdells house yesterday when Patricia Mason stopped by. I had asked the Mayor to get the washed out streets of Shawnee Drive and Triplett Street fixed. The latest storm had washed both of these streets out to the point that they were almost unpassable. He said he would make sure that they were fixed first thing this morning and they were. Mason had stopped by to tell him about the problem also and that the problem couldn't wait til the next council meeting.
Mayor Lansdell said that if anyone has any issues whatsoever to contact him by email at cklansdell@dishmail.net. He stated that this will go straight to him on his phone and that he checks it numerous times a day. This is the best way to make sure that he is aware of the problems that may exist if you are having an issue that can't wait til the next council meeting.
Thank you Mayor Lansdell and Council Patricia Mason for getting the streets fixed so quickly.

  3. Thank God for small miracles!! You go Marsha and Chuck. And even though we all know that Mason is Mignon puppet--I want to thank her for getting this issue taken care of so quickly. I only hope she does not get in trouble for not taking it in front of the council. That would trully be a shame since she actually did a good thing and it could not wait till a council meeting. Thank You Mason!!!

  4. I am glad to hear that Chuck is not tutning on us too!! He is one of the few allies we as citizens have left. He should also be thanked for his quick action on the road sitituation. This shows great effort on his part. And I to wonder about Mason. Was this a one time thing to avoid any farther attention to the council or could she being seeing the light finally?? Or is this a trick from "the master"?

  5. Thanks Ms Mason for actually doing something for the town for once.

It has been reported, on good authority that shortly after Mason left the mayor's home a black hummer was spotted in Ms. Mason's driveway.

Don't be fooled by one act. Without a doubt, Ms. Mason still reports to and gets her orders from Ms. Willis!!!

  7. Maybe her actions was just to throw susspicion off of her!! Maybe she was just trying to fool the people and maybe it was to avoid a lawsuit. But the black hummer shows that nothing has changed!! This was all planned. Maybe they knew Maesha Allen was at the mayors house and was simply trying to eas-drop and find out what that the two of them were doing. You guilty minds leads to suspicious minds!! Maybe they are scared--especially after the last meeting. But then again--they are obouisly not to scared because Mignon seems to be carring on business as usual today.
