EIGHTEEN PEOPLE THAT ATTENDED THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING HAVE FILED A WRITTEN ETHICS COMPLAINT AGAINST COUNCILPERSONS GLOVER AND MASON. BOTH VOTED ON ISSUES THAT INVOLVED THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS AND WAS TOLD BY THE CITY ATTORNEY THAT IT WAS IMPROPER TO DO SO. BOTH CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS CHOOSE TO WILLINGLY AND KNOWINGLY BREAK ALABAMA LAW. AFTER DOING SO THEY FIRED THE CITY ATTORNEY. WE HOPE THE ALABAMA ETHICS COMMISSION DOES THE RIGHT THING AND FIRES GLOVER AND MASON.
IT IS NOW IN THE HANDS OF THE ALABAMA ETHICS COMMISSION.
18??? That's all??? If there are 1200 people in the town of Cherokee, there should be 1200 ethics complaints!!! And don't just stop with one per person, everyone should file an ethics complaint and keep filing ethics complaints till Montgomery does something about these people!!!
ReplyDeleteFor 18 people to come out and put their names on a complaint is very powerful. Everyone in Cherokee likes to talk but no one wants to do anything about it. Thank you to the 18 people that have stood up and made a stand for what is right. I think the 18 people are hero's.
ReplyDeleteThank you! If anyone else would like to file an ethics complaint, you can get your forms at www.ethics.alabama.gov/forms. The ethics commission already has ALL the proof from the meeting to prove the violation.
