Well let’s just hope the petition really makes to all the stores and business in our area and that the puppets or puppet master don't pull any tricks and force the stores to remove it. The town really needs help and they need to be punished to the full extent of the law!!!

Sorry to hear about Marsha. I guess she would not be a puppet and do their dirty little deeds. She was one of the few good ones the people had in there. Maybe that was the problem! Becky must not have lived up to their dirty little standards either. I feel sorry for the one or two good ones left. They better watch out! They will be getting replaced before long. The puppets rule now!! People may as well kiss Cherokee good-bye. It is all down-hill from here. Someone really needs to get info of the sh*t they are doing to proper people and put a stop to them once and for all before they ruin our town. This town does not belong to them--it belongs to the public and the citizens. And we need to take it back!! Mike Malone thinks he such big sh*t!! And his little ever so secretive wife too. I wonder what kind of celebration all the puppets are having now with their puppet master? Probably gambling, drinking, pill popping and stock trading. And trying to find out what else they can drain from our town in secret. I only hope someone out there can bust their bubble they live in over there and give us back our town before it's too late. Hang in there Thelma--even though you don't have a fighting chance now!

Sorry to hear about Marsha and Becky! Both would NOT give in to their plans. Becky Narmore has played the game for too long and came out on top many times.... she was getting dangerously close to exposing them to everyone. I see they realized they better get rid of her before she had the chance do it. The new city lawyer will sure side with the opponent and well.... like the comment above... it is all downhill from here. Thelma, you just continue to fight for what is right and maybe... just maybe... things will turn around in 2012!

They got rid of Marsha because they knew that she would uncover all the wrong doings of the council that the city clerk hides for them. She has kept all their dirty little secrets. Now it looks like they will all go to jail. Mignon has obviously taught them all her "skills". Thank God someone is calling them on all there crap now. Between Marsha suing the 4 council members and ALL the ethic violations that have been proved, maybe they will quit, go broke, or go to jail. I would like to pick all the above. If they are smart, they will take Mignon with them!

I wonder if the "burger king four" will be asking Mignon to do more stock trading to help cover all their court cost?? I heard she made a good bit of money using the Library's computers.

Anyone with a brain knows you cannot turn in a notice 5 hours before you want off. Everyone has known about cheer camp for about 4 months. It was held at the same date last year.

She has been knowing for months when the cheer camp was. She thinks she has the authority to make her own decisions. It's a crying shame, she feels as if she were above the rules. What a joke!!!!!!

MASON IS VERY LOUD AND ABNOXIOUS AND SHE CAN'T EVEN BE A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH SHE HAS BELONGED TO WITHOUT ARGUING AND DISRESPECTING THE CURRENT PASTOR! MASON, HAS ALREADY BEEN NICKNAMED, BY VARIOUS MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY AS 'BLACK BETTY', IN REFERENCE TO BETTY MCKINNLEY, A WHITE WOMAN WITH LONG-STANDING PROBLEMS IN CHEROKEE AND THE AUTHORITIES. RILEY SHOULD HAVE ALLOWED THE VOTERS TO CHOOSE THEIR NEXT COUNCIL MEMBER ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS WAS A MINORITY SEAT! ReplyDeleteAgain, whoever is writing this, hit the nail on the head! We had hoped that Mason might be able to think for herself, but obviously she can't. It was very apparent that she had been talking to the others when she just sat back & didn't question paying the bills/payroll...why wouldn't a new council person question this? And she made a fool of herself accusing the Attorney of calling her stupid & telling the Attorney she couldn't tell the Mayor to pay the bills... I just wish there were some way to get that bunch out of office - Mayor Lansdell isn't perfect, but he tries & he could get a lot of stuff accomplished for the Town, if they would let him... keep writing these articles - the more all this comes out, the better!

Please stop the mudslinging that is being done on this blog. This makes our town look even worse. I hope all who read this will realize that all of the people of Cherokee are not of this caliber of people. There are many citizens in Cherokee who would never think of publishing the hurtful things that have been said about the councilmembers and their families. This will never solve the problems of our small town. Please stop this now....show that our town has class. It is time for the "good" and "classy" people of Cherokee to step forward and say enough is enough. I am talking about the blogs and the city council and mayor. By the way, I don't support either side. I think the entire council, mayor, and city clerk should resign and our town start with a clean slate. I don't know if even this would work, but it is certainly worth a try. Committee to save Cherokee needs to be started.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the entire council should resign. However, we all know that this is never going to happen. They are getting to rich and enjoying the power of trying to run our town. When they started trying to shut out our mayor, they proved that. Maybe some "mudslinging" is what the people of this town need to open up their eyes and let them really see what kind of council we have in office.
ReplyDeleteWhat would this so called committe do? They can't throw everyone on the council out the door! The current council is the problem and Mignon. You can't shot them and you can't kick them out or throw out with the trash (even though that would be great! Monday is garbage day!!). So what are they going to do? Sit back and discuss what needs to be done? We need action not talk!!!

ReplyDeleteIf you have ever attended a council meeting, you will notice that Chuck & Thelma will vote for motions made by their political oposites, as long as it is something reasonable or what the citizens want or is good for the town. The Burger King 4 will NEVER support a motion made by those they voting for those they appear to HATE!
