The mayor, thelma, the rest of the council have communication problems. This blog and the heartless, spinless, slug that started this blog in my organizations internet screen name, could care less about you Cherokee people. This fradulent blog is the act of an unchristian like person. It is a place to get gossip weather real or made up. It is full of insinuations and sucking all you good towns folk into behavior condoned by Satan himself. You are being filled with fear and hatred towards one another. You have stooped so low as to drive by my house and report to YOUR PUPPET MASTER, (the owner of this blog, ) who was at my house this morning. You are likely to find people from the Mayors teem here and Mignons team. I am work as a mediator between all fighting factions here in MY adopted home town of Cherokee. Get your facts straight. First of all, Marsha worked for 18 months, the last 3 for Mignon. Mignon wanted Marsha gone, so she could bring in her own person - she also ran off the judge, accountants, police chief, etc. etc. Second, Marsha never said she was going to "save" the Town, but she is trying to help the best way she can. Third, she is clocking in. Fourth, there was no motion made to rehire Marsha at the last meeting - and the reason they don't want her is because she's not one of Mignon's puppets, and they don't want her in their way. Finally, the news reporters have a job & that includes covering meetings - school board meetings, city meetings, etc...they would be at the meetings regardless of anyone calling them. I too, hate all the bad publicity, but if that's what it takes to let people in on what certain people are up to, then so be it. If you just lay down & take it, people like Mignon & her followers will just keep on doing wrong - not that Mignon will ever quit...a $186,000 judgement against her hasn't done anything...
Your stuck in the eighteen hundreds. Women are now allowed in clubs and there is nothing wrong with that. Before I moved to Bama, I lived in Hotlanta and often met friends and coworkers afterwork in clubs.I drank coke. If this was a man we would't hear anything about it.

Unless she stole money from the town to pay for whatever she was drinking or something like that. It has nothing to do with how the town is being run. So please, stop this stuff. Stop being childish and inmature.
Our council is hiding something they don't wish the public to know. Otherwise, what power would Mignon have over them. Perhaps the promiscuity of some of the councilperson's spouse's is the carrot Ms. Willis uses to lead them along!!!
I agree that the citizens need to do something about the way the town is being run by "our elected officials". However, this blog is a big joke. This is just someones way of keeping things stirred up. I mean, who cares if a council members spouse is out at a club? I, as many others, choose not to live that lifestyle, but what does that have to do with the decisions and goings on in town hall? NOTHING!! Cherokee is not the only town that have these same problems, but Cherokee is the only town that seems to have people stupid enough to plaster it all over the internet and news media. It is sad that you all feel the need to continue to smear our town on this stupid blog and in the media the way that you have.
I love MY TOWN!! And I would not live anywhere else, but it is sad that all you adults feel the need to continue to drag Cherokee down.
The Bible teaches that evil people love the dark so their deeds will not be seen. This blog is but one way of shedding light on the evil that has engulfed the town of Cherokee, Alabama. Our officials are hiding something!!! What are they hiding??? Until they are honest about their intentions, speculations run rampant. If the truth hurts.....Sorry!!! Continue to post, call the newspaper, TV stations, state legislators, DA, AG, Governor, Senators, Congress persons, anybody who'll listen and can help to expose the corruption in Cherokee!!! Until the Mignonites are stopped we must continue to shed light on the deeds of those who wish to remain the in the dark!!!!
I think this blog is the people saying they have had enough and are not going to take it anymore. Before this blog was on the internet the town had been smeared by all that was going on. Don't you get it, the people have made this their way of saying "How do you like me now?" When you live in a small town, nothing is private, but it appeared to be 1 sided until someone made this interesting and informative site. Now there are two sides and it appears the ones who were doing the hurting of the town through the peoples council are getting their feelings hurt and not liking it. Get over it and if the shoe fits wear it.
