EHTICS VIOLATIONS

SOURCES ARE STILL STATING THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON PAPERWORK TO FILE ETHICS VIOLATIONS AGAINST SEVERAL COUNCILPERSONS.

IT IS TIME THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ATTENDS A FEW MUNICIPAL TRAINING CLASSES. MAYOR LANSDELL IS THE ONLY PERSON CURRENTLY SERVING THAT HAS BEEN CERTIFIED.

  2. It should be MANDATORY that all attend and pass the certification classes and continue to better educate themselves on all new laws and procedures of running a town. Has the City Attorney not suggested this already? The citizens need to bring this to the higher ups attention.

  3. Attorneys and Judges have to have so many continuing legal education credits per year to keep their license. Then why not have it be Mandatory for our city officials to attend and pass a certification class and keep up to date.
There are all sorts of certifications class and test for other workers that they have to pass. For instance Forklift drivers, truck drivers, electritions, etc. LETS MAKE IT MANDATORY FOR OUR CITY OFFICIALS!!! VOTE IT IN!!!!

  4. Where are the investagators. The people of Cherokee need someone down there from the out side investigating all the mayor and town Counsels Violations. has anybody called anybody like they did the phone company? Get with it people. How are we really going to know how they are doing unless we get some out side help. Where no one is kin or influenced by these people.

  5. I AGREE....it's like Smitty said, "This group can't even follow basic parliamentary procedure." I also think it would be nice if it was required that they have AT LEAST 2 years of college education. A past member of the council could not even pass middle school grades!

  6. Even if a person did not finish school and went back to get his or her GED is a great accomplishment and should deserve a chance at any job. I for one think that on-the-job training is the only way you can know exactly how to do a job. College only gives you some book knowledge but really doesn't prepare you for the real job. If someone takes the job to heart and takes classes and does research to better their abiility to do that job then they should be commended. If they could care less and does not want to learn any new procedures or laws or anything. Then they are only in it for a paycheck and nothing else. There are always new things that come up in any job that people have to learn to stay up to date with the times. They can not stay in the old times because laws and tecnology and procedures are always changing.

  7. I found some interesting information.

Effective August 28, 2002, the Alabama Supreme court amended Rule 18, Alabama rules of Judicial Adminstration, to require that each municipal court clerk and magistrate attend an orientation and certification program approved by the Administrative Office of Courts.

Has this been completed? Inquiring minds want to know.

  8. Whatever, I want someone college educated handling my business/money over people with only high school/GED. You obviously haven't attended college and probably do not have a clue as to the benefits. The point I was making is that these people have no education obviously. Do you want someone that can't pass 6th grade and/or an alcoholic on your city council??

  9. Just saying that there are people out there that are good, hard, honest workers that for some good reason did not get to go to colledge but can learn to do a great jobs and that are not alcoholic and then there are highly educated people who are alcoholics. There are also highly educated people out there that can only get low paying jobs that don't require much education and are lousy workers. You have all kinds out there.

  10. True, I agree with you on that. In this situation though, do YOU want somebody "learning on the job" while handling your tax dollars? I don't think politics is the place for this!

  11. Regardless of education, do we want people on our town council who only wish to grind personal axes and pursue personal vendetta's. They have shown time and again their willingness to ignore the wishes of the majority of residents while sheepishly following the orders of the fake-accountant and recently convicted Mignon Willis.

Why are they so in love with Mignon? It is not Mignon they love but rather the ill-gotten gains she provides them. Mignon love's money too much to invest any of the money she's obtained in the past on anything as risky as the stock market. So who's money do you think she's investing as she spends hours and hours at the library and phone company. The love of money is the root of all evil. Dig into the finances of Glover, Malone, Franks, and Mason and you might find some interesting common threads.
